The County Government of Murang'a through its Ministry of Environment and that of Urban Management has Today engaged its Staff,Residents of Murang'a Municipality and Learning Institutions within the Municipality in a General Cleaning Day within Murang'a Municipality/Township under the Theme "Keeping our County Clean is our Responsibility".

The main Activities have been Garbage/Waste collection and disposal,Sensitization on how to make and maintain a Clean Environment and the Value/Importance of Living in a Clean Environment..

Municipality Residents working in Hotels,Grocers,Eateries and other Businesses have been given Garbage Bins where they shall be putting their Garbage before Collection and Disposal. The County Government through Murang'a Municipality has a Long-term Strategy for Profitable Solid and Liquid Waste management through the latest Recycling Technologies.
