The Kenneth Matiba Eye, Dental and Cancer Diagnostic Center is one of the flagship projects initiated by the Murang’a County Government in the spirit of devolution which entails bringing health services closer to the people.
The hospital provides high quality, specialized healthcare at subsidized rates to residents taking into account the high cost of these services in other centers. Situated at Kenol Town the hospital is strategically located to serve patients from all parts of the county.
This modern facility will save the County Government 1.2 million shillings per month it was spending per month to rent a premise in Kenol town for the last 12 years.
The new hospital is fully equipped with state-of-the-art medical rooms and equipment, including a dental and eye unit, an Outpatient/Casualty department, male and female wards, a telemedicine room, and minor theater rooms. Hundreds of Murang'a residents received free medical services such as dental extractions, reading glasses, blood pressure and diabetes checkups, and consultations on chronic ailments management.
