Position: Chief Officer In charge of Lands & Physical Planning

Ms. Josephine is an alumni of Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden where she graduated with an M SC. (Land Management).

She also holds a B. Sc. degree in Surveying from the University of Nairobi and has vast experience in topographical mapping, geomatics, cadastral surveying and land law.

She is the current Chief Officer in Charge of Lands, Physical Planning and Urban Development in Murang’a Count Government

Ruth Waithira Muiruri

Ruth Waithira Muiruri holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree, MBA (Strategic Management Option), and a post graduate diploma in law

Ruth has a stellar career spanning over 15 years. She has worked with Eco Bank, Guaranty Trust Bank, Kenya Mortgage Refinance Company Limited

She is currently working with S. K. Muendo and Co. Advocates

Kenneth Gitau Kamau

Kenneth Gitau Kamau holds a Bachelors of Business Administration (Finance), and a Diploma in Business Management

He has experience of over 15 years in the private sector having worked with Car and General Limited

Kenneth is currently with Equity Bank.

Mrs. Caroline K. Nyaga

Position: Nominee To represents Social sector.

Mrs. Caroline K. Nyaga holds a Master and Bachelor of Education degree

She has vast experience as a teacher having worked with various schools for over 15 years.

She has also worked both as a teacher and College administrator for Maragua ECDE College.

Margaret Wambui Kariuki

Margaret Wambui Kariuki holds Diploma in Business Management

She has worked with Murang’a County Council from 1982-1990, L&A Creations, Director Gichohi Transport Limited and Director Gichohi Investment Kenya Limited.

Bishop George Peter Irungu Kariuki holds a Master of Divinity, Bachelor of Arts in Bible and Theology, and Honorary Doctor of Divinity and Diploma in Bible and Theology.

The mananger has the role of Implementing the decisions and functions of the Municipal Board.

Responsible for preparing and presenting an annual estimate of revenue and expenditure for approval by the Municipal Board, to fund and support the programmes and operations of the Board

Acting on behalf of the Municipality's Board to ensure the execution of the Board's directives

He is responsible for building strong alliances and fostering effective working relationships between the Municipal Board and civil society, the private sector, and community-based organizations
