Murang'a Municality in partnership with the County Government to facilitate smart city programme with has been a success in many part of the respective municipalities.
Murang’a County is home to three thriving municipalities: Murang’a Municipality, Kenol Municipality, and Kangari Municipality.
🔷 Murang’a Municipality spans the greater Murang’a town area and continues to lead in venture growth and infrastructural development. The municipality has seen notable improvements in urban planning, road upgrades, and public service delivery, making it a key contributor to the county’s socio-economic progress.
🔷 Kenol Municipality, situated in the rapidly expanding Kenol town, remains a hotspot for emerging infrastructure, including modern healthcare facilities, improved roads, and commercial growth. The area’s strategic location continues to attract investors and government projects.
🔷 Kangari Municipality, located in Kigumo Constituency, has maintained a steady pace of growth through impactful developmental programs. From road enhancements to market upgrades and improved water access, Kangari is quickly transforming into a modern, service-oriented town.
These municipalities play a crucial role in actualizing the county's vision for inclusive and sustainable urban development.

The Murang’a Municipality Board invites all residents to a public meeting to review the implementation of FY 2024/2025 projects and present proposals for FY 2025/2026. The forum will take place on Friday, 25th July 2025 at Kenya National Library Services, Murang’a Town starting from 11:00 AM.
Murang’a County Government will conduct routine inspections of boreholes in Ruchu, Kambiti, and Ithanga wards on Friday, 4th July 2025. Residents are encouraged to attend for public participation.
